About me
After a decades-long career as a journalist — most recently as an investigative producer for NBC News in Los Angeles — I made a bold move in 2025: I left my career and relocated to Chicago’s North Shore. I had spent years asking tough questions of others, but suddenly, I had to ask myself the hardest one: What’s next?
The answer had been there all along.
I discovered Pilates years ago, after a herniated disc caused debilitating lower back pain. What began as a way to recover from injury became something much more. Pilates strengthened my core and gradually brought me back to moving freely, without pain. Over time, I built a stronger, more resilient body — and felt energized in every part of my life.
Now, in midlife, staying active matters more than ever. Yet our bodies don't always respond the way they used to — aches linger, and injuries take longer to heal. This is why I believe Pilates is essential. It builds deep core strength that supports how you live and move — whether walking, traveling, playing sports, or simply going about your day.
All this led me to teach Pilates. I'm passionate about helping women in midlife feel strong in their bodies through a practice that is approachable, supportive, and even fun.
I completed my training through Balanced Body, which involved hundreds of hours of in-depth training and is widely considered the gold standard in Pilates education.
I work exclusively one-on-one, so every session is tailored to you — your body, your goals, your life. Hello, Pilates!
